The Surveyor General of the Federation (SGOF) Abduganiyu Adeyemi Adebomehin, has felicitated with Mr President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), and Nigerians as the country marks her Democracy Day.
In his message, he said Mr President has contributed through his Renewed Hope Agenda in no small amount to the country’s development, he is also committed to the recognition of his office with all assistance necessary in fulfilling the organization mandates, he said the support he gave to his office has led to the landmark achievements attributed to Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation in recent times.
Adebomehin added that Nigeria is not only celebrating Democracy day with Mr President but the story for the struggle of democracy in Nigeria will not be completed today without mentioning President Bola Ahmed Tinubu name, because he was among the people that led the struggle to the nascent Fourth Republic which period began on May 29, 1999 vis a vis celebration of June 12 today.
According to him “On 29 May 2023, Tinubu ended the costly subsidy of fuel that had previously existed in Nigeria, bringing privatization to the petroleum industry of Nigeria. The subsidy had cost the Nigerian government $10 billion per year at the time it was finally ended by Mr. President and there are so many achievements under him that are too numerous to mention.”
While enumerating the current administration achievements , he said part of his achievements include housing , youth developments, increase Nigerian revenue base, reduction in debt servicing and clearing debt, increase in oil production , students loan and several other programmes that are of beneficiary to an average Nigeria and so many others that are too numerous to mention.
In his finally message he said “I appreciate all the supports Mr President has given to my office, other governmental organizations and the benefit people have derived from his leadership, so there is reason for everyone to celebrate democracy day today with Mr. President.“
