ABUJA (HOCSF’ Report)- As part of the present administration’s effort to make qualitative houses affordable for Civil Servants, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita has sought partnership with the China African Development Bank (CADB).
She made this known while receiving the management of the China African Development Bank (CADB), led by its chairman, Mr. Chi Jian Xian, on a courtesy visit in her office recently. Oyo-Ita said the partnership was timely and in tune with the Federal Integrated Staff Housing (FISH) programme, which was recently put in place by the office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation. Adding “With improved welfare and other incentives, civil servants could make great contributions towards achieving the desired results in developing and moving the nation forward”.
Oyo-Ita further noted that providing affordable housing to workers could best be achieved through Public Private Partnership (PPP), and mortgage financing.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the China African Development Bank (CDAB), Chi Jian Xian, informed the Head of Service that his visit was aimed at fine tuning ways of collaboration and Bilateral Relations between the Office of the Head of the Civil Service and the Bank.
