ABUJA (OHCSF’s Report) – The Federal Government has called on the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), to make the necessary contributions towards making the country one of the most leading economies in the World.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita made the call at the celebration of ICAN Political Ambassadors held in Abuja recently.

Oyo- Ita who commended ICAN for being good ambassadors of the nation, urged them to keep the ball rolling in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s change agenda.

While speaking earlier, the ICAN President, Mr. Deacon Titus Soetan, in his address said,
“The Institute will continue to engage the three tiers of government to employ the services of Chartered Accountants into various executive and political positions at both states and Federal levels such as Chairman of Federal and State Inland Revenue Services, Auditor-General, Accountant-General, Ministers, Commissioners of Finance and other suitable positions”.
