OSGoF receives over 26 awards for contributions to national development

The Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation (OSGoF) has received over 26 different awards in recognition of its performance and contributions to issues of national security and development in the last 2 years of the incumbent leadership.

This was disclosed by the Surveyor General of the Federation (SGoF), Surv. Samuel Adeniran Taiwo during his decoration for the Fellowship Award of Environmental Management and Disaster Risk Reduction Institute of Nigeria (EMDRRI) in his office recently by officials of the Institute led by Dr. Stephen Oboli.

Surv. Taiwo said he was humbled by the array of credible organizations that have been monitoring the salient transformation in the performance of OSGoF since he assumed office as the SGoF in January 2020. According to him, 3 surveyors from OSGoF have also been awarded by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation for their dedication to national development.

He noted that such recognition of performances and commitment would encourage productivity in the public sector.

Earlier, the National President/CEO of EMDRRI, Dr. Stephen Oboli said the Fellowship Award for the SGoF was in recognition of OSGoF’s contributions to the geospatial space in the country. He maintained that OSGoF’s commitment to environmental issues and especially the advocacy garnered to endear geospatial technologies under the leadership of Surv. Taiwo was commendable and exemplary.

Dr. Oboli pointed out that EMDRRI has been monitoring and following the activities of various professional organizations towards boosting commitment to physical and general development of the Nigerian Environment, stressing that the SGoF was found worthy of their prestigious award.
