6th National Council on Hydrocarbons: Delegates, Stakeholders Considers more Memoranda

The ongoing 6th National Council on Hydrocarbons holding in Port-Harcourt, the Rivers State capital has continued to gain momentum.

Today, Wednesday, 17th November, 2021 witnessed the consideration of 28 Memoranda. These combined with the 10 Memos considered on Day-1 brings the number of Memoranda deliberated on, so far, to 38.

In his opening remarks on Day-2 of the event, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Dr. Nasir Sani Gwarzo, mni, emphasizing on the centrality of the NCH, stated that the National Council on Hydrocarbons was the most important layer of authority that collates and considers policies that were to be rolled out in the sector.

It is expected that at the end of proceedings on Day-3 of the 6th NCH, Memoranda that have been considered and approved would be enshrined in the communique which after adoption, will be forwarded to the relevant quarters for necessary action.
