The Permanent Secretary, Ecological Project Office ( EPO), Malam Shehu Ibrahim, mni, has formally assumed duties and pledged his unalloyed dedication , loyalty and commitment to service delivery.
Speaking at the Handing-Over and Taking- Over ceremony held today, Friday, 7th October, 2022 at the EPO Conference Room, Abuja, the Permanent Secretary appreciated the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha whom he said he has been privileged to work with in time past and in his most recent assignment as Permanent Secretary, Political and Economic Affairs Office, (OSGF) for the confidence reposed on him, assuring that he has taken up the task and will do his best.
The Permanent Secretary also reassured of his loyalty, dedication and commitment on the job in order to surpass his past records.
He also thanked the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folashade Yemi- Esan for, “finding it right to deploy me to EPO at this time”, stating that he will continue to be “guided under her mentor ship” and do his outmost best to deliver on his assignment.
Malam Ibrahim commended the immediate past Permanent Secretary who is now the Special Adviser to Mr President on Policy and Coordination, Dr Habiba Lawal for the enormous effort she put into the office during her tenure with outstanding and evidential achievements recorded including the launch of the Compendium.
To the Management and Staff of EPO, the Permanent Secretary, said he is ready to work as a colleague and as a family with everyone without biases. He promised to study the handing over notes to have a full grasp of the workings of the office and get clarification where necessary.
In her brief remarks, the Special Adviser to Mr President on Policy and Coordination, Dr Habiba Lawal, admonished the staff to give the Permanent Secretary the necessary cooperation that would enhance the provision of the desired leadership, noting that the Permanent Secretary is competent, resourceful and well able to manage the office.
Speaking earlier, the outgoing Director, overseeing the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Dr Famous Eseduwo, said he is grateful for the opportunity to have served in the capacity for the period of time. He said the handing over notes will provide the Permanent Secretary with the required information during his overseeing capacity.
In attendance at the event were EPO Directors and also Directors and Management staff of the Political and Economic Affairs Office.
