The Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy/Tourism, Ibiene Roberts, FNIM, OON, officially declaring open the Performance Management System (PMS).

In compliance with the directives of the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), under the leadership of the Permanent Secretary, Ibiene Roberts, FNIM, OON, the Federal Ministries of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, alongside Tourism, have jointly launched the Performance Management System (PMS). This strategic initiative is set to enhance the efficiency, productivity, and overall service delivery of staff across both Ministries.

The Permanent Secretary underscored the significance of the PMS as a transformative tool for employee evaluation, stressing its central role in future appraisals. She highlighted that the system, now driven by cutting-edge technology, is designed to ensure transparent and merit-based assessments.

“The Performance Management System is a permanent fixture in our appraisal process. It is essential for all staff to embrace this new model, which leverages the latest technology to ensure an efficient and transparent evaluation process. We must operate with a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP); without it, the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system cannot function optimally,” said Roberts.

As part of the official launch, it was proclaimed that every Thursday will be dedicated as “PMS Day” within the Ministries, during which staff will actively engage with the system. The launch event also included a symbolic walk within the Federal Secretariat precincts, set to the vibrant accompaniment of cultural music, celebrating the Ministries’ commitment to this forward-looking initiative.
