FIC Report (Anambra State) – President Bola Tinubu’s administration says it remains steadfast in its mission to bring about transformative changes across all sectors in the country.
The Director General , National Orientation Agency, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu stated this in Awka , Anambra state during the commencement of Nationwide Sensitization on National Anthem and National Value Charter.
The NOA DG who was represented by the Deputy Director, Procurement, NOA, Abuja, Mrs Uju Nwaolisa, said the Federal government was making frantic efforts in the various sectors including energy , infrastructure, education and social welfare.
He noted that numerous policies have been initiated to transform the key sectors and uplift the Socio-economic status of the people by tackling Nigeria’s economic and social challenges while listing some of the programmes of the present administration to include Student Loan Scheme, Presidential Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), and several Economic Reforms.
Mallam Onilu said the Federal government under the leadership of President Tinubu has come up with Unification of the foreign exchange market to reflect the actual value of the Naira, boosting investor confidence, and introducing Tax reforms to reduce the tax burden on Nigerians and improve revenue generation.
The DG who urged all Stakeholders, Religious Leaders, Civil Society Organization and the entire citizenry of Nigeria to continue supporting these initiatives and work together towards achieving a more prosperous and united nation, noted that the new National anthem has been carefully crafted to reflect the aspirations, dreams, and values of modern Nigeria as It emphasizes unity, integrity, and progress while honoring the sacrifices of those who came before us.
According to him, the anthem is more than just a song but a rallying cry for every Nigerian to contribute positively to the growth of the nation and also a reminder that regardless of our differences in culture, ethnicity, or religion, we are bound by one identity.
He further revealed that the Federal Executive Council has mandated that the first stanza of the anthem be rendered at all official functions, while the three stanzas should be for special occasions such as Independence Day, Democracy Day, Inauguration of the National Assembly. Children’s Day, Armed Forces Remembrance Day and Workers Day.
