FIC Report (Kano State) – Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for releasing 73 detained minors arrested during the August 2024 protests. The Governor expressed gratitude for the President’s compassion, describing it as a magnanimous gesture.
The minors will undergo medical evaluation, receive treatment, and be reunited with their families. Governor Yusuf assured their reintegration into society through school enrollment, providing opportunities to rebuild their lives.
Vice President Kashim Shettima emphasized President Tinubu’s humanitarian concerns behind the pardon. A team of medical professionals will assess the minors’ physical and mental health before reuniting them with their families.
Governor Yusuf committed to monitoring the released minors’ well-being and providing necessary support for successful reintegration.
