FIC Report (Ondo State) – The people of Ondo State expressed their joy and civic pride as they participated in the 2024 gubernatorial election. The prompt arrival of voting materials at all polling units by 8:00 AM facilitated an early start to the electoral process, with voter accreditation and voting commencing smoothly by 8:30 AM.
In Akure South Local Government Area, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials were present and well-prepared, supported by both presiding and assistant presiding officers. Security personnel were stationed at each polling unit, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere. Notably, security officers permitted observers, including myself, to record videos at the polling units, enhancing transparency.
The machines used for capturing voters’ details were fully functional, contributing to an organized and efficient voting process.
