FIC Report (Abia State) – The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC),Abia state Command, Commandant Akinsole Aderemi paid a condolence visit on 12th November 2024 to the 14 Brigade, Ohafia, to sympathize with the Brigade Commander, Brigadier General O.O. Diya, on the sudden demise of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja.
Speaking during the Condolence visit to the bereaved Command at 14 Brigade Ohafia, Commandant Akinsola expressed his deepest condolences to the officers present.
He charged members of the bereaved Commandant not to cry as those without hope but to have solace in the fact their late Chief of Army Staff General Taoreed Abiodun left lasting Legacies in the sand of them.
He acknowledged the immense contributions of the late Chief of Army Staff to the Nigerian Army and the Country as a whole, stressed the need for all to see this planet Earth as a temporary abode where nothing last, pointing out that a day of Judgement is coming where all will give account of their stewardship while alive.
The Commandant’s visit serves as a reminder of the importance of unity and solidarity to the late Chief of Army Staff.
Also speaking During the condolence visit, some member of the Staff management of the Commandant who accompanied him urged the deceased people to take heart and prayed that God will grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
Responding, Brigade Commander, Brigadier General oo Diya appreciated NSCDC Commandant, Akinsole Aderemi for coming to Identify with them during their moment of grief.
