FIC Report (Abia State) – Abia State Governor has charged graduands of the Nigerian Police Academy to work hard and contribute to the security of the country.

Governor Otti gave the charge in his Nvosi Isialangwa South LGA country home while receiving in audience 15 Abia indigenes who graduated recently from the Nigeria Police Academy, Kano. He advised them to exhibit professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

The Governor while congratulating them on passing out in flying colours, warned them against cutting corners and urged them to remain good Ambassadors of Abia State wherever he find themselves.

“The challenge is for you to now work very hard, knowing fully well that in this society, the son of a nobody can be the father of somebody”.

“If people like us that grew up here without any hope at that time can be here, there is no reason why you can’t get here but I am challenging you to be the best you can be”.

“Always do things right and do the right things. You can always get to where you are headed. Cutting corners does not take you too far.” Gov. Otti stated.

Governor Otti used the opportunity to thank his guest and 2023 presidential candidate for the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso who coincidentally visited alongside the police officers saying that his guidance and patriotism are highly appreciated.

“Thank you for your guidance, for your patriotism, for everything that you have done for this country”.

“I want to thank you for encouraging me in 2022 not to lose faith though we were in different parties and it appeared as if everything was going to be lost. That call that you made about the 20th of May 2022, for also making your platform available for me to run if I had wanted to use the platform the rest is now history.”

Contributing, the Governor’s guest and 2023 presidential candidate for the NNPP, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso who coincidentally visited to commiserate with Governor Otti over the demise of late Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu charged the graduands to be professional in the discharge of their duties.

“Let me take this opportunity based in my experience to advise you to first and foremost fear God. Two, you need to be professionals. Now you are fresh, just coming out of the prestigious institute, stay there as professionals.” Kwankwaso advised.

He congratulated Governor Otti on his emergence as the Governor of Abia State and appreciated the achievements of Governor Otti in Abia State.

“For the little time I am here I had opportunity of talking to few people who confirmed to me that you are doing very well, in fact very well. We have seen your project everywhere,” Kwankwaso noted.

Responding on behalf of other officers, a graduand and inductee of the Nigeria Police, ASP Uchenna Ochiabuto expressed their excitement that the 34 states that participated in the course, it was perhaps only Governor Otti that received the team.

He commended Governor Otti for changing the negative story of Abia State through his various achievements within a short time in office and described him as a working Governor.

The Speaker Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, members of Kwankwasiyya Movement, Aides of the Governor were present at the visit.
