Kebbi Development Forum A Strong Tool For State Development - Hon. Dr Yusuf Sununu

The Honourable Minister of State, Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Tanko Yusuf Sununu has said that Kebbi Development Forum is a strong tool that could be harnessed for the development of Kebbi State.

Dr. Sununu stated this in his remarks when the delegation of the Kebbi Development Forum (KDF) paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Abuja.

The Honourable Minister of State thanked the group for their visit. He called for the spirit of accountability and to continue to work together for the development of Kebbi State and the country at large.

He urged the people of Kebbi State to come together, to approach the state government and create an understanding so as to cross fertilize ideas.

In his welcome remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Mr. Abel O. Enitan said, “I am happy you are here for the development of Kebbi state and I believe we can work together to achieve Mr. President’s Renew Hope Agenda for the state and for the country at large”.

The Permanent Secretary commended the state in the areas of Tourism and Agriculture. He stated that Tourism and agriculture and other related activities in the state can transform and make the state more prominent in the country and in the Comity of Nations.

He urged them to come up with proposals that can benefit the state and the country especially the ones that will empower the Youths. He said the Ministry is ready to partner with them for the development of Kebbi State.

Earlier in his speech, the leader of the group, Sen. Garba Musa Maidoki stated that, the Kebbi Development Forum is a non-partisan organization and the purpose of the visit to the Honourable Minister of State was to congratulate him over his retention as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He further stated that the another objective of their visit was to look at ways and means to partner with the Ministry to achieve its set mandate. He said that they are open and willing to do whatever they can do in their individual and collective capacity to form synergy so that mandate of the Ministry can be achieved.

Other members of the Forum present were: Alh. Usman Abubakar, Secretary Board of Trustee, Rtr. ACG Sambo Gwandu, Hajia Salamatu, Barrister Buhari Bello, amongst others.
