FIC Report (Kogi State) – Over five hundred and eighty two billion naira budget has been presented to the kogi state House of Assembly.
Presenting the twenty five draft budget proposal to the House, the state Governor, Usman Ododo said as part of his administration’s commitment to building a new and prosperous state, a thirty two years state development plan with the theme: Shared Hope and Prosperity has been mapped out.
Governor Ododo said the roadmap which was designed to transform the state into a thriving inclusive and sustainable economy was a long term plan anchored on three pillars which are fostering prosperity, building resilience and providing direction.
The governor reiterated his commitment to engaging stakeholders, monitoring progress and adapting the plan as needed to ensure that it remain relevant and effective.
Governor Ododo said the roadmap which was designed to transform the state into a thriving inclusive and sustainable economy.
The governor expressed appreciation to the people of the state for the trust reposed on him to pilot the affairs of the state.
Governor Ododo assured the speaker of the House that his administration would strive to complete every project started in all the twenty one local government area of the state as well as ensure the people are the ultimate beneficiary of public resources.
Speaking, the speaker of the House Rt Honorable Aliyu Umar who said as representatives of the people, It was their duty to scrutinize the budget proposal to ensure it reflects government responsibility to the people, promised the governor that the budget would receive prompt attention.
