FIC Report (Ekiti State) – The Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji on Thursday, tasked the new Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command, Mr Joseph Eribo to reinforce the policing strategies and make the State retain its rating as one of the safest and most investment friendly in the country.
The Governor said his administration placed high premium on the safety of all residents of Ekiti State and their property while he valued the great jobs and zeal that the security agencies were deploying to make Ekiti State unsafe for criminals.
Oyebanji, represented by his Deputy Governor, Mrs Monisade Afuye, praised the dogged spirit being demonstrated by the Police and Ekiti residents.
He said that it accounted for the reason the State was consistently rated as one of the safest States in Nigeria.
In his submission, the Commissioner of Police expressed appreciation for the huge support enjoyed by the Police Command in Ekiti State.
He said his visit was to further cement the existing synergy the State Government and the Police had in a bid to fight crime in Ekiti.
He pleaded with Ekiti citizens to help the Police in exposing criminals in their midst by giving tip-off that would help in effective policing and gradual ridding off the criminal elements.
Eribo promised further partnership with other security agencies to reinforce internal security to make Ekiti safe for all citizens.
