Ododo Lauds President Tinubu for the Establishment of 5 Mini LNG Plants in Kogi

FIC Report (Kogi State) – The Federal government through the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited NNPC has Flagged off the construction of Five Liquified Natural Gas LNG Mini plants in Ajaokuta Local Government area of Kogi state.

At the ceremony with the theme: From Gas to Prosperity, Catalyzing Nigeria’s economic growth, the Minister of Steel development, Prince Shuaibu Abubarkar Audue said the establishment of the five plants in Ajaokuta was significant to the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to creating a one trillion dollar economy by the year twenty thirty.

The Minister who said the development of the energy infrastructure in Nigeria was a game changer for the country’s energy sector pointed out that it would enhance energy security and position Nigeria as a key player in the global energy Market.

The Governor of Kogi state Alhaji Usman Ododo said the grand breaking ceremony for the 5 mini LNG plant in the state marked a transformative initiative that the entire country would benefit from.

The governor said the landmark project initiated and facilitated by the federal government in collaboration with the NNPC limited and other partners underscore their commitment to embracing cleaner and greener energy solution.

Governor Ododo Expressed appreciation to the president for his visionary leadership at ensuring economic growth.

The Managing Director PiCNG Engineer Michael Oluwagbemi while stating that they are collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure the success of the project, stated that kogi state would become the hub for gas production and distribution across the country in line with the president’s vision.

Chairman Senate committee on local content, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Oduaghan while appreciating all the stakeholders for their individual roles at ensuring the commencement of the project said no doubt the Plant would create job opportunities, and provide energy for many state.

The project will be constructed on a thirty three hectres of land with a combined capacity of 84.5 million cubic feet of gas per day and a 500million Investment.

The plant is projected to produce Condensate, LNG, LPG, and CNG and is expected to be completed middle of next year
