We will continue to work for our people - Governor Otti

FIC Report (Abia State) – Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti says his government will continue to work for the people of the state in line with his belief that the people deserve the best.

Governor Otti was speaking when he received in audience the Prelate of the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Serafin Worldwide, Baba Aladuru, His Eminence, Dr. David Bobmanuel. He said he is in government to create wealth and lift the people out of poverty.

According to the Governor, in the last 21 months of his administration, he has impacted in the lives of Abians and residents in the state by fixing road infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, waste management, reforms and welfare of workers and pensioners among others.

The Governor, who noted the concerns of the Church as regards to their land located in Obingwa LGA where Federal Mortgage Bank is developing, assured them that he would attend to the matter with a view to resolving it.

He appreciated the contributions of the Church to the progress of his administration and urged the Church to sustain her prayers for him, the state, and the nation at large.

Earlier, the Prelate, Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Serafin Worldwide, Baba Aladuru, His Eminence, Dr. David Bobmanuel said that he was in the state for a familiarization visit and to inform the governor that the Church would be having her centenary anniversary of her existence coming up in September 2025.

The Prelate commended Governor Alex Otti for the exemplary leadership he has exhibited since he took over office in 2023. He pointed out that the governor’s various projects stand as eloquent testimony of his dedication and commitment in transformational governance in Abia state.

He used the opportunity to inform the Governor of their land located at Obingwa LGA, where the Church wants to build a Hospital but was given to the Federal Mortgage Bank and pleaded with the Governor to look into it. He thanked the governor for appointing some members of his church into positions of authority in his government

Top government officials were present at the working visit, including the majority leader of the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Uchenna Okoro and the Chairman of the Abia State Christian Welfare Pilgrims Board, Apostle Emmanuel Agomuo.
