FIC Report (Ebonyi State) – The management team of the newly inaugurated South East Development Commission, (SEDC) visited the Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru as part of the ongoing engagements with critical stakeholders in the region.
The team led by the Chairman of the Commission, Emeka Wogu met with Governor Nwifuru at Government House, Abakaliki, pledging commitment to position the region as a preferred investment destination in Africa by the year 2030.
He highlighted the mission of the Commission to drive sustainable development, economic growth, strategic investment and empowerment initiatives, while seeking collaboration of the governor in achieving greater milestones.
The SEDC management disclosed the strategic objective the Commission has set out to achieve by 2035 to include, execution of transformative projects in infrastructure, energy and technology, as well as strengthening security infrastructure in partnership with State governments and enhancing the ease of doing business to make the region more attractive for investors.
Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, challenged the Commission to see their assignment as competitive and therefore, initiate projects that will be reckoned with in years to come.
