FIC Report (Kwara State) – The Kwara State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointments of Mariam Nna Fatimah Imam (Edu) and Dr. Lawal Olalekan Olorungbebe (Ilorin West) as commissioners in the State Executive Council.

Their confirmation followed a screening exercise during Wednesday’s plenary session, presided over by Speaker Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi Salihu.

The nominees, who were forwarded by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, responded to lawmakers’ questions on governance, policy implementation, and their plans to serve the people of Kwara State effectively.

Addressing the House after the confirmation, Speaker Danladi Salihu reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to ensuring that only competent individuals are appointed to leadership positions.

“Our duty is to scrutinize and confirm only those who are qualified and ready to contribute meaningfully to governance,” he said.

Following the confirmation, the Speaker directed the Clerk of the House to formally communicate the decision to Governor AbdulRazaq.
