The Management of the Federal Government Staff Housing Loans Board, in collaboration with IBS Grand Technologies Limited, has organized a 3-day training workshop for its staff on the Revised Public Service Rules.
The workshop, which took place in Abuja from 4th to 6th March 2025, aimed to equip staff with a comprehensive understanding of the revised rules and their implications for the Board’s operations.
The training workshop provided a platform for staff to engage with expert facilitators led by Dr. Samuel Agbalaka Akowe, and explore the key provisions of the Revised Public Service Rules. Participants gained insights into the rules governing employee conduct, performance management, promotion, appointment, discipline, PMS, and grievances, among others.
The Executive Secretary of the Board, Hajiya Salamatu Ahmed, declaring the ceremony opened, emphasized the importance of the training workshop in enhancing staff capacity and promoting a culture of excellence within the organization.
“As a public institution, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. This training workshop is a critical step in ensuring that our staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to excel in their roles,” she said.
The workshop featured interactive sessions and case studies, which enabled participants to apply the revised rules to real-life scenarios. Staff also had the opportunity to clarify any doubts and seek guidance from the facilitators.
The training workshop is part of the Board’s ongoing efforts to enhance staff capacity, promote a culture of excellence, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. By investing in the development of its staff, the Board aims to improve its overall performance and better serve its stakeholders.
