FIC Report (Sokoto State) – The Sokoto State Governor, Ahamed Aliyu, has distribution irrigation inputs to 91 communities in the 23 Local Government Areas of the State.
Inaugurating the distribution on Saturday,at Government House Sokoto, the State Governor said that, this was part of the State Government’s desire to boost irrigation activities in an effort to enhance food security across the State. He urged the beneficiaries to judiciously utilize the opportunity in ensuring the success of the programme.
Some of the beneficiaries from Kware and Silame Local Government Areas, Mal Muhammad Sani and Mal GarbaSilame, commended the Sokoto State Governor for the kind gesture and also called on other potential beneficiaries to make good use of the farming inputs.
Items distributed were pumping machines, grinding machines and fertilizer among others.
