The Director-General, Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), Dr. Adebowale A. According to the DG, NPCP is a pioneer programme that will provide a centralized digital platform for the training, assessment, and certification of procurement professionals. Adding that, the Bureau’s top priority through the launch of this Certification Portal seeks to enhance, standardize and integrate professionalization of procurement practice within Nigeria’s public and private sectors, Capacity Building and knowledge validation, and to reinforce value for money, compliance, accountability and to support implementation of SPESSE Goals.

Dr. Adebowale expressed his gratitude to all Stakeholders such as; World Bank and Sustainable Procurement, Environmental and Social Standards Enhancement (SPESSE) Project; Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), and Head of Service (HOS) for their support and collaboration to ensure the success of the implementation of this programme. Civil society organizations and Professional Bodies are also engaged to meet the needs of all stakeholders and to build a competent and ethical procurement workforce that can drive sustainable development and growth.
