Minister Musawa Accepts Invitation to 2025 Ilorin Emirate Durbar

FIC Report (Kwara State) – The Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa, has accepted an invitation to attend the 2025 Ilorin Emirate Durbar, describing the event as a symbol of Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage.

This was contained in a letter personally signed by the Minister and addressed to the Chairman of the Ilorin Emirate Durbar Committee, Engr. Suleiman Yahaya Alapansapa.

In the letter, Musawa conveyed appreciation to the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, and the people of Ilorin Emirate for the honour of the invitation, saying she looked forward to joining the community for the celebration.

“It is with great joy and profound enthusiasm that I align myself with this beautiful cultural festival, which remains one of Nigeria’s most captivating expressions of tradition, heritage, and communal pride,” the Minister said.

She described the Ilorin Durbar as a “shining testament” to the resilience of traditional institutions in preserving history and identity, and assured the Federal Government’s full backing through her ministry.
