
The Director-General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub, led a high-level delegation on a visit to Liberia, where they met with the Minister of Education, Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah. The visit aimed to strengthen bilateral relations and development cooperation between Nigeria and Liberia through the Technical Aid Corps Scheme.
During the meeting, the NTAC DG reaffirmed President Tinubu’s commitment to the continuous development of African, Caribbean, and Pacific (ACP) countries. He emphasized that the Technical Aid Corps Scheme exemplifies Nigeria’s commitment to sustainable diplomacy and South-South Cooperation.
The Liberian Minister lauded the Nigerian government for its consistent partnership and development cooperation using the TAC Scheme, describing the contributions of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps as “instrumental to Liberia’s human capital development.”
The NTAC delegation also met with the Corps’ Volunteers serving in Liberia, commending their dedication, professionalism, and resilience. The DG assured them of the continuous institutional support of the Corps and emphasized that the NTAC programme is a strategic tool in Nigeria’s foreign policy framework.
The visit underscores the strong commitment of both countries to deepen strategic cooperation and leverage the TAC Scheme for mutual benefit, further solidifying the long-standing friendship and cooperation between Nigeria and Liberia. This development is expected to yield significant dividends in the areas of education, capacity building, and economic growth, ultimately enhancing the lives of citizens in both nations.
