……………Reinforces the Importance of Sacrifice to National Unity and Cohesion.
The Director General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub, has called on all Nigerians to imbibe the lessons of sacrifice and total obedience to Allah (SWT) in order to attract His blessings and to live a life of happiness here on earth and in the hereafter.
Statement
In a Sallah message to Nigerians today in Abuja, the NTAC boss emphasized the value of sacrifice in a multi-ethnic and multi-religious nation like Nigeria for peace, unity, and national cohesion to endure. He urged the Muslim Ummah to use the occasion of this year’s Eid El-Kabir to pray for those things that make for a more unified and progressive Nigeria.
Leveraging Sacrifice for Progress
The DG noted that the importance of sacrifice is central to all major religions of the world, including the African Traditional Religion (ATR). He emphasized the need for individuals to leverage this reality to always place themselves as selfless channels to the joy of others and the progress of mankind.
Call to Action
“We should constantly ask ourselves: ‘What can I always give of myself to make the world a better place?’ For some, it is their talent, skill, or even speech. For others, it may be something different. But we all must contribute our own quota to making society better, to leave behind us a world that is better and more conducive to longevity, to peace, and to global progress.”
Felicitations
The NTAC DG extended his heartfelt felicitations to all Muslims on the celebration, as well as to President Tinubu, his lieutenants, State Governors, lawmakers, traditional and religious leaders, and all Nigerians.
Prayer
The DG prayed that Allah accept the fast of Arafat and the prayers of the faithful throughout the Holy Feast of Eid El-Kabir.
