Under the dynamic leadership and the unwavering support of the Chairman, National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko, and the Director General, Hon. Bukola Olopade, the team delivered a historic performance that captured the admiration of the global sporting community.

The Nigerian contingent proved their dominance in track and field events across multiple disability classes. Several athletes claim multiple podium finishes, most notably, Flora Ugwunwa, Sefiu Ojeley, Alam Ugochi, and Uwak Unyime .

As the final day of the competition concluded, the words “Team Nigeria” echoed proudly in the air, symbolizing not just athletic achievement but the triumph of team spirit support among the athletes and officials.

This performance reaffirms Nigeria’s place as a powerhouse in para-athletics, and sets the stage for even greater glory at future international competitions.

The dedication of the athletes, the strategic backing of the President Para- Athletic Federation, Hon. Rafiu Olawale Etti ensured Nigeria’s successful outing, and the foundational support from Para Athletics officials have proven to be a winning formula.
