Abuja, Nigeria — In a bold stride toward industrial revitalisation, the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole (MFR), paid a working visit to the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) Products Showroom, reinforcing the Federal Government’s unwavering commitment to promoting Nigerian-made goods and driving economic transformation.

Touring NASENI’s innovation hubs and production facilities, the Minister celebrated the agency’s progressive model of attracting investors and scaling ideas into practical solutions. She spotlighted its diagnostic kit production line and emerging exports under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), commending these as critical to strengthening Nigeria’s global trade footprint.

Dr. Oduwole affirmed the need for patriotic consumer habits, stating, “We have a collective responsibility to buy what we produce and produce what we use.”

She also expressed pride in wearing and using Nigerian-made products, noting that NASENI’s work aligns perfectly with the administration’s goal of building a $1 trillion economy through job creation, enhanced GDP, and national security.

Ambassador Nuru Abba Rimi, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, praised the Minister’s proactive leadership, highlighting the broader implications of her visit:
“This engagement is more than symbolic—it sets a precedent for collaborative governance. The synergy between our Ministry and NASENI marks a new chapter in service delivery, policy execution, and national progress.”

Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of NASENI, expressed appreciation for the Minister’s visit, calling it a milestone in public-private alignment:
“We are proud to showcase our capacity not just to innovate, but to meet market demands with the right quality at the right price. From energy solutions to vaccine manufacturing, NASENI is delivering products that resonate with Nigerian aspirations and international standards.”

With 18 production sites nationwide and the Bureau of Public Procurement’s “Nigerian First” guidelines backing the mission, the partnership between the Ministry and NASENI is primed to usher in a new industrial era—one that places Nigerian craftsmanship, innovation, and pride at the centre of global competitiveness.
