FIC Report (Kaduna State) – Her Excellency, Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, represented Governor Uba Sani at the 151st meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC), held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, and chaired by the Vice President, His Excellency Senator Kashim Shettima.
A major highlight of the meeting was the endorsement of the framework for the Renewed Hope Development Plan (2026–2030), which seeks to consolidate Nigeria’s reform agenda and drive the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ambition of building a $1 trillion economy.
The new plan is designed to deepen continuity, strengthen existing policies, and align Nigeria’s economic growth trajectory with the long-term aspirations of Nigeria Agenda 2050.
NEC also reviewed ongoing national health interventions, with a focus on eradicating the new polio variant. The Council resolved that the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation should expedite the release of funds to enable the next round of the national polio immunisation campaign.
