The National Coordinator/CEO of AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria, Hon. Jabiru Salisu Àbdullahi Lamido Katstina, has hailed the launch of the N100 million Climate -Smart Àgricbusiness Empowerment Scheme by the Katstina State Government as a significant stride towards realizing the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
Speaking at a flag-off recently, Hon. Àbdullahi describe the initiative as a model of strategic alignment between national agriculture priorities and Continental development goals.”This is more than an intervention, it is a gateway to achieving Agenda 2063,” he said.
Jointly funded by AUDA-NEPAD and the Katstina State Government, the Scheme will empower smallholder farmers with improve seeds, modern tools, technical training and market access, fostering climate-resilent commercial agriculture.
Finally, he commended Governor Dikko Radda’s commitment to agriculture transformation, citing investment in dem rehabilitation, fertilizer procurement, and Solar-powered irrigation.
