FIC Report (Benue State) – The Federal Information Center (FIC) Makurdi on Saturday, 29 November 2025, presented two flex banners to the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Benue State Council, at the McCarthy Stadium in Makurdi.
The presentation took place during Day 6 of the council’s Press Week activities. While making the donation, the Head of Center, FIC Makurdi, Mrs. Irene Iveren Onehi, informed the Chairman, Comrade Bemdoo Ugber, that the Federal Information Chapel deemed it necessary to produce two flex banners—one to be stationed at the NUJ House and the other for outdoor engagements.
Performing the formal presentation, the Federal Information Chapel Chairman, Comrade Veronica Azemba, handed the banners to National Official Comrade Nancy Orshi, noting that they would serve as an important means of identification for the Benue Council. Comrade Orshi appreciated the chapel for their benevolence.
A major highlight of the event was a football match between members of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) and their male counterparts in the NUJ. The media women emerged victorious with 2 goals, while the men scored 1.
