PEBEC Holds 2025 Award And Gala Night At Presidential Villa

FIC Report (Abuja) – The Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) held its 2025 Award and Gala Night on Tuesday, 2 November 2025, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The event, chaired by the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima (GCON), recognized outstanding individuals and institutions that have contributed to creating a business-friendly environment in Nigeria.

In his opening remarks, the Honorable Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, expressed gratitude to guests and highlighted the importance of the event, stating, “Tonight, we celebrate dedicated men and women who have demonstrated excellence in public service and innovation, driving Nigeria’s economic growth.”

The Director General of PEBEC, Princess Zarah Mustapha Audu, delivered a keynote address, emphasizing the council’s achievements in promoting ease of doing business in Nigeria. She highlighted the Regulatory Impact Analysis framework, which has improved the business environment, reduced regulatory compliance, and increased Nigeria’s GDP.

The event recognized outstanding agencies, state governments, and individuals, including the Nigeria Employees Consultative Association (NECA), European Union, and Benue State, among others.

In his remarks, Vice President Kashim Shettima (GCON) emphasized the federal government’s commitment to enhancing efficiency, transparency, and accountability within Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). He urged award recipients to continue promoting transparency and effective ease of doing business in Nigeria.

The event showcased Nigeria’s business-friendly environment and attracted international attention, with representatives from the European Union and other diplomatic corps in attendance.
