Niger State Government Deepens Global Health Partnerships To Fast-Track Healthcare Transformation

FIC Report (Niger State) – Niger State government is collaborating with Project CURE, one of the world’s largest distributors of donated medical supplies, equipment, and services to many countries, in a renewed determination to accelerate healthcare transformation in the state.

The collaboration, which will advance global health partnerships and deepen operational frameworks necessary for the seamless execution of current and future interventions, is also expected to provide clearer pathways for desirable and high-quality healthcare equipment and supplies to Nigerlites.

In this regard, a state government delegation led by a commissioner-designate, Dr Murtala Bagana and Dr Bala Waziri, the Chief Medical Director of IBB Specialist Hospital Minna, were on a week-long technical mission at Project CURE in the United States of America (USA).

The delegation visited the corporate headquarters and warehouses of Project CURE in Denver, Colorado, and Houston, Texas.

During the mission, the team explored medical supply chain systems and inspected life-saving equipment earmarked for some designated Niger State facilities.

The Executive Director of Project CURE, Houston Office, Jo Sullivan, expressed gratitude for the visit, saying it demonstrated clarity of the vision and commitment of the Mohammed Umaru Bago-led administration to improving healthcare in the state.

She reaffirmed commitment to partnering with the Niger State government, assuring that the partnership will make a meaningful and lasting impact on both parties.
