FIC Report (Lagos State) – The President who arrived in Lagos since Saturday, 20, December, 2025, was engaged on Sunday in a cultural Eyo Festival at his residence. The Eyo Festival is a significant cultural celebration in Lagos known for it’s vibrant parades and colourful displays.

The engagement was a testament to his commitment to preserving Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage. He hosted organizers of the Eyo Festival at his Lagos residence, marking the beginning of the festival’s activities.

During the visit, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu described the festival as “a powerful expression of our identity and continuity,” emphasizing its importance for Lagos’ cultural heritage. Tinubu, in his remarks, prayed for Lagos State and the nation, urging participants to conduct themselves peacefully during the festivities.

“I am happy for this great cultural remembrance, a rekindling of our culture. It is a great honour to come back home to meet our people, ready, happy, healthy, for the celebration of Eyo Carnival in peace, harmony, love, brotherhood, and sisterhood,” Tinubu said.

The festival, scheduled for December 27, will honor notable Lagosians, including Tinubu’s late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, and former governors Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
