FIC Report (Ondo State) – The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) is reportedly not admitting students into its Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.
This development affects both UTME and Direct Entry candidates who selected FUTA as their institution of choice for the MBBS programme.
Affected candidates are therefore advised to urgently change their institution choice to avoid losing their chances of securing admission for the session.
Candidates can effect this change through the JAMB Change of Institution platform.
As at the time of this report, FUTA has not officially stated the reason for the suspected suspension of admission into the MBBS programme.
Candidates are encouraged to explore other accredited universities offering Medicine and Surgery.
For further guidance on alternative universities or the JAMB Change of Institution process, candidates are advised to seek timely information from relevant authorities
