FIC Report (Delta State) – The Delta State Police Command has informed residents of Ogwashi-Uku and the general public that the Shooting event of the ongoing 15th Biennial Nigeria Police Games, tagged “ASABA 2026,” will hold at the Base 31 Police Mobile Force Shooting Range, along Kwale Road.
According to a press statement by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP. Bright Edafe ANIPR, the event is scheduled from Sunday, 15th to Thursday, 19th February, 2026, between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily.
The statement emphasised that the exercise will involve the controlled use of firearms strictly within the designated range, adding that all necessary safety and operational measures have been put in place, hence members of the public are urged not to panic.
The statement further disclosed that access to the immediate vicinity of the range will be temporarily restricted during the period of the event.
Residents and road users are advised to comply with all safety and traffic directives.
The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, Aina Adesola, assured the public of the Command’s commitment to safety and professionalism. He commended residents of the area and the public for their understanding and cooperation.
