The Swearing In Ceremony Of Governor Soludo

FIC Report (Anambra State) – Governor Chukwuma Soludo was on Tuesday sworn in as the Governor of Anambra State for the second term along with his deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim.

The Swearing In Ceremony took place at the popular Dr Alex Ekwueme square, Awka, with many dignitaries in attendance, such as Vice president Shettima, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former President Goodluck Jonathan, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, former Governor Chris Ngige, Obi of Onitsha and other dignitaries.

Addressing the people during the ceremony, Professor Soludo called for collective responsibility in building the State, noting the government alone cannot create the future we desire. Citizens must pay taxes, obey laws, contribute ideas and support development initiatives, Each of us has a role to play in making Anambra great.

He assured that he alongside his deputy and Cabinet would dedicate themselves fully over the next four years to advancing the State’s transformation into a livable and prosperous smart mega city.

Governor Soludo appreciated the ongoing Federal projects under President Bola Tinubu, such as the Enugu- Onitsha expressway and the second Niger Bridge corridor. “We also expect timely delivery on approved requests, including inclusion in national gas and rail master plans and dredging of River Niger to operationalise the Onitsha river ports.

He described President Tinubu as cerebral, courageous and patriotic, urging the South-East to engage constructively with his administration.

In his own address, the Vice President Shettima praised the Governor Soludo’s leadership describing him as a courageous democrat committed to public good.

He noted that his re- election reflects the trust and confidence of the people, the second term is about consolidation.

He assured the people of the Federal government’s commitment to partner with Anambra State for national development.
