FIC Report (Sokoto State) – The Sokoto state Police Command will on Monday 30th March, 2026, commence activities lined up for the 2026 National Police Day by organising an environmental sanitation as part of activities lined up for the commemoration with the theme ” Community Partnership Building Trust.”
In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Sokoto state Command, DSP Ahmad Rufa’i, on Friday, 27th March, 2026, he stated that there will be a Medical outreach and environmental sanitation which is aimed at promoting a cleaner and safer environment, as well as unity and partnership between the police and the community.
The Medical Service of the command will carry out a Medical outreach at Gagi District on the 30th March for people who need medical attention from 10 am to pm.
According to him, the celebration will be from 30th March to 7th April, 2026.It is inline with the Federal Government’s directive to commemorate the event. He said that other activities include walkathon by the police personnel on Tuesday, 31st March, 2026,starting from the Command headquarters to Gidan Manada roundabout.
He further stated that on Wednesday, 1st April, 2026,there will be sensitisation on electoral offences and a safe deriving approach at Central motor park, Sokoto.
On Thursday, 2nd April, 2026, the Commissioner of Police, Sokoto state command, CP Hayatu Hassan Shaffa, will present welfare cheques to beneficiaries and families of deceased police personnel in the command who lost their lives in active duty.
The celebration will be concluded with a grand finale, featuring a ceremonial parade at Egale Square, Abuja, on Tuesday, 7th April, 2026.
The Commissioner of Police, urges members of the public to actively participate and co-operate with the police during the activities, in line with the theme of this year’s celebration, Community Partnership Building Trust,” which means,” together we can fight crime.”
