FIC Report (Nasarawa State) – Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has inaugurated Chairman and members of Governing Board of the newly established Dalhatu Araf Specialists Hospital, (DASH), Akwanga.
The event which took place at the Government House in Lafia, the State capital was attended by top government functionaries and health experts.
Inaugurating the Board, Governor Abdullahi Sule reassured the citizens of his administration’s commitment to overhaul the health institutions across the State as part of effort towards achieving the universal health coverage of the global development framework, SDG-3.
He noted that the present administration will continue to accord priority to the health needs of the people to improve productivity and enhance economic growth.
The Governor explained that the motive behind upgrading and establishing primary and tertiary health institutions across the three Senatorial Zones of the State is to reduce work load on other health facilities across the State.
Governor Abdullahi Sule who congratulated the Chairman and Members of the Board for their appointment charged them to be guided by uphold professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, Chairman, Governing Board, Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, Akwanga, the Chun Mada, Pastor Samson Gamu Yare expressed appreciation to Governor Abdullahi Sule for finding them worthy for the appointment and pledged their commitment to rendering effective and efficient services for all the citizens.
The Nasarawa State Government few months ago directed the immediate relocation of the Dalhatu Araf Specialists Hospital, Lafia to Akwanga following the upgrade and taking over of the Specialists Hospital by the Federal Government to serve as Federal University Teaching Hospital, Lafia.
