Kano, Nigeria – The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata,  has felicitated with Muslims in Nigeria and across the world as they commemorate Maulud, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

In a statement issued to mark the occasion, the Minister described Maulud as a significant period for Muslims to reflect on the life, teachings, and exemplary character of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), particularly His enduring commitment to compassion, justice, humility, patience, and peaceful coexistence.

Rt. Hon. Ata urged Muslims to go beyond the festivities and draw practical lessons from the Prophet’s life by demonstrating kindness, honesty, tolerance, and responsibility in their daily interactions.

According to him, the values exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) remain relevant to the challenges of contemporary society, especially the need to strengthen unity, promote peaceful coexistence, and care for the vulnerable.

The Minister also called on Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace, stability, and continued progress in the country, while supporting government efforts aimed at improving the welfare and living conditions of citizens.

He reaffirmed his commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, particularly initiatives aimed at expanding access to decent and affordable housing and promoting sustainable urban development for Nigerians.

Rt. Hon. Ata urged citizens to remain hopeful, law-abiding, and committed to building a more inclusive and prosperous Nigeria.
