KANO (FIC Kano) – The Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO), has organized a two day training workshop tagged, ‘Vision zero accident’ for its field staff to improve service delivery across its franchise areas.
KEDCO Head, Corporate Communication, Ibrahim Sani Shawai, stated this in a press release on Saturday, 13th July, 2019.
According to the statement, the training seeks to equip field staff with enhanced capacity to respond to accidents of any sort that may be recorded in the future.
It also revealed that the company invests much in training its field staff because of the need off swift feedback to complaints, and ensure the safety for electricity consumers as well as the Company’s equipment.
Participants at the workshop include: Technicians, Linemen, Cable Jointers, Operators, Maintenance and Electricians. Papers presented are: Effective Communication; Job Hazard Analysis; Permit Work System and General Safety on the Network.
The statement also noted that KEDCO Managing Director, Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna, expressed confidence that such training would impact greatly on staff and customers.
Gwamna continued that the company was preparing for the future by buying and up-grading network equipment and banking such with series of training to keep the staff in shape to manage the latest modalities of service delivery, as an organization that prioritizes customer’s satisfaction.
He therefore called on the trained staff to ensure good use of the knowledge acquired for the benefit of everyone particularly in responding quickly to complaints for efficient service delivery.
