Sen. Mohammed Musa sought for and was granted the leave of the Senate to move a motion on bandits taking over some local government areas in Niger East
The Senate resolved to:
- Call on the Service Chiefs and all security agencies to as a matter of urgency deploy security to the affected areas and to change the security architecture of the areas indicated;
Additional Prayers:
ii. Urge National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to urgently provide relief materials to affected communities; and
iii. Call on the Inspector General of Police to intensify efforts towards police patrolling of various communities in the country

Sen. Sandy Onor sought for and was granted the leave of the Senate to move a motion on the crises in Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State
The Senate resolved to:
- Condemn the killings and destruction of properties in totality in Boki Local Government and arrest and prosecute the perpetrators immediately;
- Observe a minute’s silence in honour of those who lost their lives in these disturbances and crisis;
- Urge the Cross River State government to effectively take over the Boki Ward Palm Estates and delineate the inter-community boundaries accordingly; and
- Direct the Inspector General of Police to ensure better security of lives and properties in Boki Local Government Area and to immediately establish a mobile police barracks and stations in the headquarters of Boki Local Government Area for easy deployment in troubled spots

Sen. Istifanus D. Gyang sought for and was granted the leave of the Senate to move a motion the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2019
The Senate resolved to:
- Urge the Federal Government to fully implement the provisions of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities Provision Act 2018 especially the composition of the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities;
- Urge the Ministry of Works and Housing and other MDAs involved in the buildings to adopt codes and standards that are user-friendly to people with disabilities;
- Urge the Ministry of Land Transportation and transport operators to be aware of obligations to people with disabilities;
- Urge the Ministry of Information and National Orientation Agency to undertake an aggressive awareness campaign against all forms of discrimination against people with disabilities
Additional Prayer:
v. Call on each Distinguished Senator to contribute a sum of N100, 000 (a one-off arrangement) to help people with disabilities and their organisations to effectively participate in activities that will enhance their lives
