FIC Report (Abia State) – The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Abia State Command, Commandant Akinsole Aderemi, Today 17th April 2025 declared it’s Command’s commitment in ensuring the safety of Abians during this Celebration of Easter season,and to enforce that he revealed that the State Commandant has deployed 705 Officers and men to ensure a safe and peaceful environment for the Yuletide season in the state.
He made this known while addressing some Newsmen that the personnels’ deployed including officers and men from various departments, units, divisions, across the state. He pointed out that the officers will be strategically positioned in various locations, including churches, markets, motor parks, and other public places.
According to Akinsole, the deployment is aimed at ensuring the general public enjoyed this season of holidays in peace, adding that the Command has made adequate provisions for personnel to be deployed to all places of worship and recreational centers across the state.
“NSCDC personnel will remain vigilant and committed to their duties throughout the holidays to ensure a smooth and peaceful celebration”.
Still speaking , he said “NSCDC will focus on securing critical national assets and infrastructure, recreational parks and centers, strategic facilities, and public spaces”, and directed that the deployment be carried out with utmost professionalism and diligence.
Further more, he noted that the deployed personnel will work in collaboration with other security agencies to provide round-the-clock security coverage.
The State Commandant warned criminal elements and vandals who may use this Easter season to commit crime to desist from their illegal activities and urges the general public to remain vigilant, and report any suspicious activity to the nearest security agency, That the suspect will face the full wrath of the law.
The Commandant felicitated with Christians and urges there to be peace, love, and unity among all citizens.
