FIC Report (Abia State) – The Accreditation of Abia State Polytechnic, Aba has been restored following the gallant efforts of the Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
Recall that upon the withdrawal of the Accreditation of the Institution by the National Board of Technical Education( NBTE), Governor Okezie Ikpeazu had promised to restore the Accreditation within one month.
Briefing Journalists on the development at Government House, Umuahia, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Barr. Eze Chikamnayo said the restoration of Accreditation followed the release of the sum of 450 Million Naira to the Institution by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu as well as the interface between the Committee set up by the Abia State government and officials of the NBTE.
The Commissioner noted that the State Government has put in measures to ensure sustainable best practices at the Institution going forward adding that everything needed for the smooth running of the Institution has been provided to ensure uninterrupted academic session.
He said that the Governor had through this demonstrated that the welfare of Abia students is top most in his consideration.
The Information Boss thanked Governor Ikpeazu for his exemplary leadership acumen and undeniable contributions to the welfare and development of the Abia State Polytechnic Aba.
