…………Reiterates Commendation to President Tinubu for Putting a Square Peg in a Square Hole.
Members of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps’ Christian Fellowship have described the Director General of the Agency, Rt. Hon.(Dr.) Yusuf Buba Yakub as God-Sent. They said he had come at a time NTAC needed to be rescued from what remained of the once glorious Corps, reiterating praises for President Tinubu for the DG’s appointment some two years ago.
In a special prayer session organized by the group to mark the DG’s birthday in Abuja, Wednesday, Amb. Bolaji Akinremi, Chaplain of the Fellowship at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters, described the DG as not only a man of impactful leadership, but one who has continued to lead with wisdom, passionate excellence and humility.
Amb. Akinremi said he had met and closely worked with the NTAC DG since his time as the Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and has since discerned that wherever the DG led, he rallied people of honour and devotion who totally put their trust and unwavering beliefs in him.
He said he was not surprised at the DG’s sterling performance at the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps, where he has turned things around in less than two years, and again commended Mr. President for identifying a performer for a place so many Nigerians had thought no longer existed.
“Wherever you have served in this country, you did so with honour and capacity. Our prayer is that God will bless you at all times and promote you beyond our very imagination.
“We know for certain that you deserve to be in higher places, God will lift you higher so that men and women of our country will benefit from the leadership qualities and the caring heart He has bestowed on you.”
While leading all members of the Fellowship to say a special prayer for the NTAC DG on the occasion to mark his transition to a new age, Amb. Akinremi rallied members of the Fellowship, staff and their visiting friends to perform the usual ceremonial cake-cutting exercise for the DG; after which the former federal lawmaker was offered the gift of the Fellowship ‘s uniform as a mark of their gratitude to one who has supported the activities of all Faiths at the Agency.
Earlier in the day, while welcoming the DG to the NTAC complex, some staff of the Agency had, in a rare demonstration of love and gratitude, ushered him into his office with a birthday song and presented to him a beautiful birthday cake in celebration of his new age.
The above gesture, which was a testament to the strong bond and camaraderie that exists within the Corps, was led by the Director of Administration at the Agency, Amb. Yakubu Abdullahi Ahmed.
In appreciation of the love demonstrated by the staff of NTAC and their visiting friends, Rt. Hon. Buba expressed deep gratitude to God for the gift of life and good health. He thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the opportunity to serve the nation at this material time, promising that his best efforts and contributions to Mr. President’s Renewed Hope Agenda still lie ahead.
He commended the NTAC workforce for their commitment, professionalism and unwavering support in driving the Corps’ mission and Mr. President’s 4-D Foreign Policy Initiative, describing the gesture he had received as both humbling and uplifting.
The celebration reflected the unity and shared purpose within the Corps, reinforcing the DG’s saying that; an organisation’s greatest asset is its people working together in harmony towards common goals.
Among those who participated in the prayer session were Rev. Nathaniel Anunobi, Vicar in-charge of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Dutse, and a number of his parishioners that accompanied him to the events.
