AIG Lawan Jimeta sensitizes Officers and Men of Zone 5 Command against embarking on Strike Action

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 5 Command Headquarters, Benin, AIG Lawan Tanko Jimeta, psc, has sensitised Officers and Men serving at his Zonal Command against embarking on the strike action purportedly scheduled for March 26th 2022.

He did that at an interactive session he held with the Officers and Men serving in his Zonal Command.

According to the press release signed by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Tijani Momoh, The AIG charged members of the Inspectorate, Rank and file to shun the aforementioned strike action. He advised the junior officers to remain committed, dedicated and loyal to the Nigeria Police Force. He further admonished them to exhibit high level of professionalism and eschew all acts of mutiny.

AIG Jimeta stressed that the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, fdc, is very much committed to the welfare of the Police and is working assiduously to ensure that salary increment and other allowances approved by the Federal Executive Council are speedily implemented.

He also assured the Officers and Men that plans for the adequate distribution of kits, operational equipment and other accoutrements to all personnel, renovation of Barracks and better cooperative facilities to all serving Police Officers have also been concluded.

The AIG used the opportunity to urge members of the public, particularly residents of Delta and Edo States to go about their lawful duties without fear as the Police in the two States will continue to discharge their duties as expected. He assured them of public safety, protection of lives and property of all citizens in the states.
