FIC Report (Edo State) – The Management of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, has donated 5000 reusable and washable facemasks to the Edo State Government, as a contribution to the state’s campaign against the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Ignatius Onimawo, who was represented by the Director, Center for Entrepreneurial/Career Studies, AAU, Ekpoma, Engr. Prof. Osadolor Odia, presented the materials to the Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa Esq. at Government House, Benin City.
The items were donated as an effort to support and boost the state government’s effort in getting rid of COVID-19.
According to Prof. Onimawo, the facemasks are convenient to use by all and were produced at Ambrose Alli University Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, saying we have changed the image of the school in the last few years and it now ranks highly among its peers in Nigeria.
The Head of Service, Mr. Okungbowa while receiving the items expressed appreciations to the university for responding to the governor’s plea for everyone to be part of the state’s fight against COVID-19.
He reiterated that the fight against COVID-19 is a collective one that must not be left only for government,describing the situation as a war in which everybody’s hands must be put on deck to make the fight a lot easier.
