FIC Report (Anambra State) – The Anambra State Police Commissioner, CP Ikioye Orutugu has assured Schools in the State of his efforts to strengthen security through the Police Safety Initiatives which aims to proactively safeguard schools, students, teachers and staff.

He made this known during his visit to Secondary Schools in Awka.

He disclosed that the initiative centers on preventing crimes, building partnerships and providing support to schools to enhance their security measures, improve safety, increased confidence and a better learning environment.

The Police Commissioner assured residents of the State’s safety especially on Mondays, when the illegal Sit-At-Home order has disrupted academic activities.

He noted that to maintain law and order, the Police and other Security Agencies have taken control of streets to sustain safety in the State

CP Ikioye Orutugu accompanied by Anambra Women Affairs Commissioner, Mrs Ify Obinabo, urged the people of Anambra State to go about their daily activities without fear of intimidation.
