Anambra State Government Reassures JAMB Of Their Support, Commends Establishment Of Four Hundred And Fifty Capacity CBT Centres

FIC Report (Anambra State) – The Anambra state Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma – Udeh, has described the Joint Admission And Matriculation Board (JAMB) as an integral part of the state education system, assuring the Board of the government’s continued support to enhance its operations.

Professor Chuma Udeh made the declaration when the Anambra JAMB coordinator, Dr Diana Obiano, and her management team visited the Commissioner at the State Secretariat Complex, Awka.

Professor Udeh stated that the State does not take JAMB’s role for granted, particularly in the conduct of qualifying examinations and placement of successful candidates into tertiary institutions and commended the Board for establishing four hundred and fifty – capacity computer – based test Centre and pledged the State’s readiness to support the establishment of additional Centres to improve access and efficiency.

Earlier, Dr Obiano said that JAMB regards Anambra State as a major academic hub in the South-East, due to the high number of applicants from the State and their strong performance in examination, which she attributed to the State government’s emphasis on quality education under Governor Soludo’s administration.
