FIC Report (Benue State) – The Benue State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police CP Stave H. Yabanet FCID psc (+), is set to mark the maiden National Police Day on April 7, 2025. This was announced by the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Anene Sewuese Catherine.
The event aims to recognize the dedication and invaluable contributions of police officers to society. Activities lined up for the celebration include:
- Medical outreach
- Awareness and educational programs in schools on cultism and violent extremism
- Community sanitation exercises
- A town hall meeting with key stakeholders to enhance policing in Benue State
In appreciation of the support received, the Commissioner of Police expressed gratitude to the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, for his continuous assistance to the command. He also extended his appreciation to traditional rulers, religious leaders, community leaders, youth leaders, and other stakeholders for their invaluable support.
