Members of the Inter-Ministerial Task Team (IMTT) on the compilation and production of a compendium on public service reforms in Nigeria have been inaugurated.
In his welcome address at the Federal Secretariat, venue of the ceremony, Mr. Dasuki Ibrahim Arabi, said the compendium aims to provide the summaries of key public service reforms initiatives that have been implemented under the President Muhammadu Buhari administration from 2018 to 2020.
“It is also to provide a succinct overview of the various reform initiatives, their major achievement, key challenges and proposed next steps. It further highlights what has gone well and what has not gone as expected,” he said.
Arabi, who said members of the IMTT were carefully chosen based on their wealth of experience, expressed belief that they will carry out the assignment with all diligence, passion and commitment in the interest of the country.
He added: “Given the nature of the assignment, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chairman of the Steering Committee on Reforms (SCR) approved your nominations as members of IMTT, with the mandate to work with the Bureau on setting out modalities for planning, compilation and production of the compendium.”
The IMTT is expected to complete the assignment and submit a draft compendium within three weeks.
